THE ADONAI CENTRE
COVID-19 Response
Uganda’s health system’s resilience has been tested by the COVID-19 pandemic. To ensure that the country responds adequately and mitigates the impact of the pandemic, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has developed guidelines to address the increased demand on the health system. There is currently a strict government lockdown, which has unfortunately led to greater food insecurity and prevented individuals from obtaining the health care they need.
Adonai has been integral in the relief effort, distributing food to over 300 families via Boda Boda Transport. As of now, the Adonai school is in recess until it is safe to return. Adonai requires more funding to carry out these efforts to ensure that children can get the education they need and that individuals can get the care they need.
